We define successful graduates as students who achieve a diploma, obtain a certificate or transition to a community-based opportunity or pathway of their choice (e.g. skilled trade, college, university, workplace or community). Our goal at AMDSB is to develop the skills needed for students to graduate being well, engaged and prepared. Having these skills will also promote a sense of pride and accomplishment in each student.

  • Understand themselves as learners and advocate for their own needs
  • Are literate and numerate
  • Demonstrate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills

They are also prepared for a changing world and are:

  • Are confident, curious life-long learners thinkers
  • Are resilient and flexible thinkers who demonstrate global competencies and digital skills
  • Are community members who show leadership and are equity and empathy-oriented
