Board Meeting Highlights - December 10, 2024

Key updates included new Pathways initiatives, such as trade workshops and the Electrical for Women course. Director Graham Shantz thanked staff for their efforts during recent snowstorms, particularly custodial teams. Student Trustee Alexandra Haviaras provided an update on mental health initiatives and a new survey project. Chair Michael Bannerman extended holiday thanks to staff and the community. Lastly, Superintendent Cheri Carter announced the recruitment for the North Perth Boundary Review Committee, with the first meeting in January 2025.

Empowering Future Leaders: A Journey Towards Equity and Inclusion

At AMDSB, we’re committed to fostering a community where every voice is valued. This year, we’re continuing our partnership with unlearn. to empower students interested in leadership and social justice. Recently, students from our secondary schools and Stratford Secondary School (SIS) gathered at the Brodhagen Community Centre for an inspiring workshop focused on student voice and that used graphic design as a way to provoke thoughtful discussions.

Calling All Three Year Olds!!

It's time to register for kindergarten!! Kids who are 3 years old (JK) or 4 years old (SK) by December 31, 2024 should call their local school today to start the registration process!
