Why pursue a French Teaching Career at AMDSB?
We are committed to building a diverse and equitable workforce; one that reflects the voices and identities of the students and families we serve. We are a community that engages, inspires and innovates. We are always learning. AMDSB offers a range of dynamic French programming including:
- Core French helps students build practical French skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is offered in all schools.
- French Immersion is an optional program where students build strong proficiency in French while continuing to develop English language skills with the goal of graduating high school as confident bilingual speakers. It is offered at 4 schools in Stratford. In high school, students can either earn a seven‑credit (Extended Immersion) or ten‑credit (French Immersion) certificate.
- The Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française or DELF Preparation supports students in achieving the globally recognized French proficiency credential that showcases their French skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing at levels A1, A2, B1, or B2.

We are currently looking for passionate French as a Second Language (FSL) teachers to join our team. Whether you’re new to teaching French, an experienced FSL educator, or someone ready to expand your qualifications … there’s a place for you here.
